Our approach

At Maine Coast Candle Company, we strive to choose quality materials thoughtfully, with care for the homes we live in, the people and pets we love, and the natural world that inspires us. We aim to keep our products as natural as practical and to avoid ingredients of concern when we can verify their presence or absence. We do not claim that any candle is risk-free or that every component is plant-derived.

Candle care

Before lighting, place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and flammable items. Remove the lid and any packaging.

First burn: Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface, while following the burn limits on your candle’s care label.

Wood wick care: Before relighting, let the candle cool completely, gently remove the loose charred wood from the top of the wick, and clear any debris from the wax. Follow the trimming instructions on your candle’s care label.

Burn within sight and keep candles and flames out of reach of children and pets. Use in a well-ventilated space. Never move a burning candle or leave it unattended. Follow all safety instructions on the candle’s label.
